Arnaud, 24, lives in Nantes and rides on his fixie with N-Peloton. He is part of the Fridays a la cool group and sometimes participates in long distance events, such as Meet Me Halfway between Nantes and Angers, or between Nantes and Pornic. Otherwise, Arnaud and a few close friends organize some personal rides lasting around 50km or so.
He once found a used 8bar Krzberg at a decent price – a V4 with Lazer Mint paint that belongs to a limited production run of 100 units, which reduces the chance of finding another one just like it.
What draws Arnaud to 8bar bikes is the fact that they are minimalistic, and he can play around with the contrast of having dark components. He chose Thomson for its efficiency and lightness, a mavic wheelset, a sram omnium as the crankset with a nice Lattice chainring from Factory 5.
The handlebars are a Deda RHM01 compact with Cane Creek brake levers, which are comfortable for long distances and easily allow for direction adjustment. The saddle is a prologo but he’s still in the market for the perfect one.
This bike will be Arnaud’s debut on the track. Who knows, maybe one day he’ll have a carbon wheelset to match!
