Giro d’Italia 2017

The 2017 Giro d’Italia finished yesterday, Sunday 28 May, in Milan, with flying Dutchman Tom Dumoulin emerging as the overall winner.

Dumoulin, currently with Team Sunweb, beat Nairo Quintana by more than a minute in the time trial stage to comfortably defend the lead he had been maintaining throughout the race. Quintana came in second, with Vincenzo Nibali rounding out the top three.

It is the first time in history that a Dutch rider has won this race. And as the champion of the Maglia Rosa (the 100th anniversary since the Giro first began), Giant Bicycles bestowed upon Dumoulin a special custom Giro version of their TCR Advanced SL in recognition of his achievement.
