RedBull Break The Frame

Last Saturday, we were at RedBull Break the Frame, a fixedgear crit near Marseille, France that was hosted by FixeFrance.

The first time we went out on the Paul Ricard Circuit, we didn’t really know what to expect. We arrived in a VW van the night before and nonchalantly parked it in front of the entrance. What a surprise when we woke up early the next morning surrounded by 30 Porsches. Apparently, this is where racers of all shapes and sizes meet every weekend…

This criterium took place on an outdoor karting circuit – a bit slippy but with pleasantly wide roads.

While everyone else was setting their camp, some people enjoyed looking at karts shredding the circuit…

…and some others set up their bike while wearing sandals. Yep, sandals are very convenient and that’s how we do in it France.

Soon, it was time to warm up the legs.

And show support by smashing some butts.

🏁🏁🏁 Time to get serious 🏁🏁🏁

Getting ready.

Felix pushed hards in the heats.

Scary Eric.

Jules from La Nuit Noire.

While Mel was shooting the event itself, I shot 30 bikes that were hanging about on the side. You can see them right here (updated daily).

There’s definitely an obsession with butts at this event.

Fleur, ready to rumble

  1. Margaux Vigie
  2. Virginia Cancellieri
  3. Fleur Faure

Tim from 8bar team took the win for the mens for the 2nd time in a row.

After the winners were announce, everything passed in a blur. Riders were called onto the podium, where they gathered for some photos, and then the crit day was over. With it, the season passed as well. Break the Frame is definitely a fast event.

See you next year!

And finally a big up to these guys from La Nuit Noire, cheers bros 👊
